KenHome™ is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all subcontractors and staff using our pre-qualification, bidding, and project management portals. We continuously work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
The KenHome subcontractor portals (subs.kenhome.group and admin.kenhome.group) are designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Conformance is an ongoing commitment.
What we've done
- Keyboard-only navigation is supported across all critical flows (registration, application, bidding, project management).
- All form fields have programmatically associated labels.
- Interactive elements have visible focus indicators.
- Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA thresholds for text.
- Error messages are announced to assistive technologies.
- Skip-to-main-content links are available on every page.
- Semantic HTML (headings, landmarks, lists) is used throughout.
Known limitations
We are working to address:
- A full VoiceOver walkthrough of the bid comparison matrix (landscape PDF) is in progress — download-before-review remains recommended for screen-reader users.
- Third-party uploaded PDFs (COIs, licenses, wage determinations) may not themselves be accessible; the portal exposes their filenames and metadata in accessible ways but the document contents are the author's responsibility.
Reporting barriers
If you encounter an accessibility barrier in our portals, please email subcontractors@kenhome.group with the URL, a description of the barrier, and your assistive technology. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and remediate within 30 days where feasible.
